When a license is revoked, there’s a mandatory cooldown period before you can apply again. The minimum waiting period is five years from the date of the revocation. This long gap helps protect the public by ensuring there’s a genuine period of rehabilitation and that the applicant can meet current standards before reentering the profession. After those five years, you may reapply, but your new application will be reviewed thoroughly and you must meet all current licensing requirements, with the prior revocation disclosed and considered in the decision. Shorter waiting times aren’t allowed because revocation is the most serious disciplinary action.
